Norman Ingber, Esq.
A founding member of Ingber & Provost, LLP, Norman Ingber brings more than 40 years of legal experience to the firm. As former trial counsel for a major insurance company, Mr. Ingber maintains a unique grasp and deep understanding of the tricks and tactics the insurance industry uses to pay less than the full amount of damages owed or to escape liability altogether. Mr. Ingber’s comprehensive personal injury practice includes representing those injured by the negligence of another in: car, truck and motorcycle accidents; slips and falls on dangerously unsafe property; bus accidents; food poisoning; and medical malpractice, including birth injuries. Mr. Ingber also represents families who have lost a loved one due to negligence or medical malpractice, pursuing the full amount of compensation for surviving family members under New York wrongful death law.
In addition to his work in the firm’s personal injury division, Mr. Ingber also represents clients through the Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy process. A firm believer in the protections provided by New York and federal bankruptcy law for those in need, Mr. Ingber takes the time to fully understand each client’s own unique situation, advise them on their options, and make sure they understand their rights and the best steps to take to avoid foreclosure or make a fresh start with their finances. “There is a lot of misinformation out there about what bankruptcy can and can’t do, and a lot of these myths are generated by the credit industry to keep you from accessing the protections available to you under the law. My job is to represent your interests to the best of my ability and make sure you have the facts you need to make the decision that is right for you.”
